Ask a repair questionEquipment & repair
01Do you repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders and pistons?
Yes. We provide hydraulic pump, cylinder and piston repair, hose repair and full hydraulic service for bucket trucks, commercial work vehicles and telecom equipment.
02Can you customize commercial work vehicles?
Yes. Our custom setups include work van shelving and tool storage, commercial truck and trailer upfitting, and A/C installation in fiber splicing trailers. Call to discuss your proposed setup.
03Do you work with independent contractors as well as fleets?
Yes. You can call about one bucket truck, a cable lasher or a list of fleet repairs. Give us the equipment models and faults so we can discuss the work and scheduling.
04How should I organize a repair list for several units?
List each unit number, make, model and fault. Mark the equipment that is out of service and mention anything still loaded. We’ll discuss the repairs separately and agree on drop-offs before trucks or trailers leave your yard.
05What kinds of telecommunications equipment do you repair?
Yes. Call 224-436-9425 with the equipment type, the problem, and its exact location. We’ll discuss whether a callout is suitable and confirm current availability.
06Is most repair work performed at your shop?
Yes. Most repairs take place at our Ingleside shop. Call with the equipment details and what needs attention so we can discuss scheduling and agree on a drop-off.
07How soon can you repair my equipment?
Tell us when you need the unit and what is wrong. We’ll discuss current availability, but diagnosis, parts and the work needed affect completion time. Confirm the plan before booking transport or telling a crew when the equipment will be ready.
08Can you work on my particular equipment brand?
Call with the manufacturer, model and serial number so we can confirm whether we can take on the specific repair. For a bucket truck or splicing vehicle, include both the chassis and fitted equipment details.
09Should I arrange transport before calling?
Call before booking transport. Tell us the equipment condition, dimensions, whether any trailer is loaded and what access is needed. If the unit cannot be moved safely, ask whether field service is suitable. Agree on transport and shop arrival arrangements first.
10When is the Ingleside shop open?
Shop hours are Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., Central Time. We’re closed Sunday. Please call before bringing equipment in. Emergency callout timing is agreed separately.
Shop visits & planning
01Where is Industrial Customs & Repair located?
Our shop is at 816 Grand Ave, Unit 1, Ingleside, IL 60041. Call 224-436-9425 before bringing equipment in so we can discuss the repair and arrange your visit.
02What should I have ready when I call?
Start with the equipment type, make and model, what is wrong and where it is now. Tell us whether it can be transported safely and whether you are asking about shop service or an emergency callout. Call with what you know.
03How much does equipment repair cost?
Cost depends on the equipment, the fault, access to the component, parts and the work needed. Call with the make, model and what is wrong. We’ll discuss an assessment and how an estimate will be handled; one flat rate would not cover every repair.
Callouts & coverage
01Do you offer emergency callouts?
